Wind River Brown

Great Brown caught on the lower Wind River.  Fish are really starting to take a hard look at terrestrials.  I hooked and moved plenty of browns to the surface fishing a large Fat Albert and Chubby Chernobyl.  Get ready for a great hopper season!!

Happy kids enjoying Wyoming's outdoors
My Step Son Jordan enjoying his 4th of July!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates.  Here are a couple pictures from our fishing trip above Dubois on the 4th of July.  Featured above is Wesley Briggs and my step son Jordan Vroman.  I think the smiles say it all, but we had a great day on the water.  The fish were willing to come up and take dries all day long and there wasn't another soul insight.  It was great being able to spend time with friends and watch the future generation enjoy the outdoors and the sport of fly fishing!!!

OH MY LORD!!!!

Mike with a big Wind River Rainbow
Waters around central Wyoming are really starting to fish.  If you have time to get a line in the water before the runoff starts I would highly recommend it!  Please feel free to give us a call if you have any question regarding places to fish, hot flies, or if you are wanting to book a fly fishing trip for this summer.  (307) 851.4191

The Future I Looking Bright!!!

Wes Briggs with nice bow!
Ridge Briggs with a Wind River Pig!
I seen these pictures today and diffidently had to send out a AT A BOY to the Briggs boys!  With kids like these out there enjoying the outdoors and fly fishing the future is surely looking very bright for our sport.  I know they are chomping at the bit to get out this spring and something tells me they are going to make it happen!  Stay tuned for more pics.

Spur of the moment trip on the North Platte

Early morning bow on the North Platte

It has been a long winter filled with very little fishing but last Sunday with the help of some good friends and of course the wives we made it happen.  We had been at a wrestling tournament in Casper all weekend and at 9 o'clock Saturday night after a few cocktails my friend Jake Briggs and I finally planned out the logistics and convinced the wives it was the right thing to do.  We met up with friend/guide Beau Covert and had an outstanding day on the river!  A big thanks goes out to Beau and Jake for making it happen!!!
